The HK Generation Next Arts (HKGNA) Music Competition, an event dedicated to young musicians aged 25 and under, recently concluded in Hong Kong.
Among four finalists who showcased their talents alongside conductor Andrew Ling and the HKGNA Music Festival Youth Orchestra, 20-year-old violinist Anais Feller was honored with the Grand Prize. Her awards include a cash prize of HKD 80,000, an opportunity to debut at the HKGNA Music Festival in 2026, and a special invitation for an overseas concert engagement.

The Grand Prize Final Jury featured prominent musicians and educators: Ju-Young Baek, Hanna Lee, Jing Wang, Michael Ma, Andrew Ling, Gabriel Kwok, Eleanor Wong, Gwhyneth Chen, and Michelle Kim.
Background and Training
Anais Feller, originally from the United States, has received extensive musical training under notable mentors including Tiffany Modell, Michael and Irina Tseitlin, Jina and Lucas Aleman, and Martin Beaver at the Colburn School of Music in Los Angeles. Currently, she studies under the renowned violinist Midori at the Curtis Institute of Music.
Festivals and Performances
Feller has participated in several prestigious chamber music festivals worldwide, such as Yellow Barn, Morningside Music Bridge International Music Festival in Boston, the International Menuhin Music Academy in Gstaad, Switzerland, and the Burgos International Music Festival in Spain.
As a soloist, she has performed with orchestras including the South Coast Symphony, Plano Symphony, San Angelo Symphony, and the Colburn Virtuosi.
Awards and Honors
Her accolades include second prize and the orchestra prize at the 2021 Tibor Junior International Violin Competition in Sion, Switzerland, and a gold medal with the Olive Trio at the 2022 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition.
In 2023, Anais earned first prizes at the Pasadena Showcase String Competition, the South Coast Symphony Concerto Competition, and the Young Artist Competition with the Pasadena Community Orchestra.
